Urology is a medical specialty that deals with the treatment of disorders involving the urinary tract in men and women. This also attends to the reproductive tract problems in men.

The urinary tract is the part of the body that produces, stores and removes urine out of the body. Urologists can handle and treat any part of the urinary system, including:

• the kidneys – the organs that collects the toxins out of the bloodstream, producing urine
• the bladder – the hollow sac of the system that stores the urine
• the ureters – the tubes that serve as a passage through which the urine transfers from the kidneys t the bladder
